On Friday 24th June we were host to 7 horses, 6 riders and Brian the horsebox driver.
Mike Myers of Bigland Equine Group, South Lakes and five other riders are raising funds
for the children's charity HorseHeard by riding Coast to Coast
on Cookie, Star, Jigsaw, Spirit, Fred, Bailey and Poppy.
To find out more about their work visit www.horseheard.com
Riders arrived tired and ........
...... horses arrived hungry.
Untacked the horses graze contentedly on the edge of our meadow
before being turned out to pasture.
The group reflect on the day's trail whilst tucking into dinner
around the kitchen table at Pry House Farm.
While they enjoyed dinner I couldn't resist popping out to see how
my four-legged guests were getting on in Firs High Pasture.
All perfectly happy.
The next day was glorious and Spirit set off ahead to find a good vantage point
as the whole trail is being filmed by his rider.
Some riders found our walls make excellent mounting blocks!
After a few safety checks by Mike .....
..... they were off on the next leg.
This is the third time we have had equine bed & breakfast guests at Pry House Farm.
It is always a pleasure to have horses on the farm.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the C2C and please come again.
