Heavy mist this morning completely obliterated the view but it lifted very quickly and we have had a red hot day.
Wonderful.

Cobwebs on the railings, heavy with dew, glisten in the early sunshine.

Pry House Farm: We live on a large hill farm in Upper Swaledale where Chris breeds Swaledale sheep. We have a holiday cottage, Hillcrest, in Low Row, a Shepherd's Hut on the farm and we welcome guests into our home for bed and breakfast. Our main season is April and October. its lovely to give people a taste of what its like to live and work on a hill farm in the Yorkshire Dales. What might you see and do if you come and stay? Feed the pet lambs, see the hay being made or a calf being born? We are always happy to share our local knowledge and point guests in the right direction to get the most from their stay. Many return year after year. They come for the amazing scenery, the unrivaled views of the meadows and fells, the peace and quiet, the home cooking, the coal fire, the comfy beds and the home-from-home welcome. From here you can explore the Yorkshire Dales to the full, walk, enjoy the abundance of wildlife and wild flowers which are all around us and our fabulous, zero light polution night time skies. When the season is over and I have more time I like nothing better than to catch up with family and friends. I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, crosswords and crafts.
